2021

2021 marked a shift in suspension philosophy, as the team introduced a new underbody front suspension system to CR17. This meant that overbody airflow was less disturbed by suspension arms and brackets that used to be mounted on top of the front of the chassis. Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic in 2021, CR17 used the aero package from CR15 with a newly made sidepod aero package.

The pandemic also meant that the team could only participate in FSUK due to travel restrictions that were in place at the time. At FSUK, the team scored highly in all the static events with better results coming in the dynamic events including 1st place in the acceleration event and 2nd place in the skidpad event. However, the team's fortune turned heading into the sprint event where we experienced a front wing faliure which put us 7th. Our luck continued to dry up into the endurance event with a non-critical oil leak bringing our competition to an early close. Despite all our issues, the team finished 4th in the overall standings, our best result at FSUK besides winning in 2017.
